The fourth industrial revolution is marked by rapid technological advancement and energy generation and use is of no exception. It is an era of embedded connectivity distinguished by ubiquity of technology in society that changes the ways humans experience and know the world around them (Lee et al, 2018, Journal of Open Innovation: Technology Market, and Complexity). Flowing from the above, the occasion of advanced technology is incomplete without consideration for sustainable energy generation and use as well as environmental protection. It is therefore the duty of man while making use of resources endowed on earth and beneath it remind himself that a safe environment is necessary for the very survival of mankind in light of inter and intra generational equity.
It is therefore imperative to shift towards the generation and use of clean energy devoid of negatively impacting the environment considering the increased spate of global warming. Baobab Energy Research Centre’s calling is to engage in all lawful and relevant activities described by its core objectives to ensure the promotion of sustainable and clean generation and use of energy through scientific research. BERC is calling on all stakeholders such as individuals, businesses, Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, Regulators, Multinationals and Governments as well as Consumers of energy to build strong working relationship to work together in achieving generation and use of clean energy through research, advocacy, capacity building, training, promotion and among others.

Baobab Energy Research Centre is a wholly Ghanaian owned firm headquartered in Accra, Ghana. It is formed by young energetic Ghanaians who as at the date of forming the idea were all under forty (40) years and as at 2024 are still under forty years. The organization’s mean activity is scientific research to aid informed decision making by individuals, businesses, multinationals, governments and all stakeholders.
